Today my husband was finally granted his US citizenship. He was one out of 6118! Yes, you read that right, 6 1 1 8 not counting all the family and friends who were there for support!!!
It was such an amazing sight to see all these people of different nationalities gathered in one room for one purpose. They all wanted something that I was born with and have taken for granted on several occassions. That mass of people made me stop and realize just how lucky I am to have the privilege to be an American where I have rights that people are willing to die for in other countries.
